'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League homecoming

Kane achieves his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his interest in returning to the Premier League has faded and he is willing to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is presently midway through the four-year contract he signed when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.

The 32-year-old forward has scored an outstanding 103 goals in 106 games for the German team, contributing them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the first major achievement of his notable career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has earlier stated that he would like to see Kane come back to England, where he requires 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England captain has now suggested that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he once was, and would definitely consider prolonging his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so progresses and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different chances and different periods happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top marksman for both Tottenham and England and recently became the fastest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, reaching the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had escaped him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would react after overcoming his trophy barren spell, but now thinks it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
